The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting of Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences, Thumbay, was held on 21st June 2025. The programme commenced at 9:30 AM with interaction between parents, faculty members, and the Principal, creating a warm and welcoming environment for open communication. The formal inauguration began at 11:00 AM with a prayer song, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, symbolizing wisdom and guidance.
The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator, Dr. Shivashankara A.R., Principal and Chief Guest Sr. Dr. M. Vinora AC, Coordinator – PG Studies, St Agnes College. The Principal welcomed the gathering and emphasized the vital role of parental involvement in student growth. This was followed by an insightful keynote session by Sr. Dr. Vinora on “The Power of Positive Parenting.” Her presentation highlighted key aspects of healthy parenting—emphasizing emotional connection, consistency, setting limits, avoiding harsh discipline, and being positive role models. She stressed that only emotionally healthy and happy parents can raise confident, responsible children.
Following the guest session, both the Principal and Administrator addressed the gathering with words of encouragement and appreciation, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to nurturing students’ academic and personal success. A vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Hemanth, acknowledging all contributors to the event’s success.
The programme witnessed the presence of several faculty members who actively engaged in the event, including Dr. Neha Samapriya, Ms. Anupama V, Ms. Gillaine Vail Pinto, Dr. Royce Dsa, Dr. Sowmya Nitha Aranha and Mr. Hemanth K along with the Principal, Dr. Shivashankara A.R. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem and a lunch at 12:30 PM, providing an opportunity for further informal engagement. The event served as a valuable platform to strengthen the partnership between the institution and parents, reinforcing a shared commitment to student development and well-being.
