HANDING OVER AND TAKING OVER CEREMONY OF PRINCIPAL

A welcoming ceremony for the new Principal of FMAHSC, Thumbay, was held on 20^th November 2025 in the Lecture Hall. The programme commenced at 9:15 am in the presence of the Director, the Administrator, the outgoing Principal, the Medical Superintendent, faculty members, staff, and students.

The event opened with a welcome address delivered by Rev. Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator, who greeted all attendees and acknowledged the dignitaries present. During his address, he expressed appreciation for the service of the outgoing Principal, Dr. Shivashankara A. R., and Professor of Biochemistry from Father Muller Medical College and extended a formal welcome to the incoming Principal, Dr. Pauline Anand, Associate Professor of Physiology from Father Muller Medical College.

The outgoing Principal, Dr. Shivashankara A. R., addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to the Administrator, the Director, and all for their support during his tenure.

This was followed by the address of the Director, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, who spoke on the theme of change and officially announced the appointment of Dr. Pauline Anand as Principal. As part of the ceremony, he presented a bouquet to Dr. Pauline as a gesture of welcome.

The formal handover of responsibilities took place with the outgoing Principal, Dr. Shivashankara A. R., presenting the official documents to Dr. Pauline Anand, marking the transition in leadership.

Dr. Pauline Anand, upon assuming office as Principal, addressed the gathering with a brief message expressing her gratitude and commitment.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Chethana, a 2^nd  B.Sc. MIT student, who acknowledged the contributions and presence of all dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students.
