Visit to Water Treatment Plant

The IV BHMS students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College visited the Water Purification Plant at Thumbey Water Purification Plant on 07.05.2026 and 08.05.2026 as part of their academic learning programme.

During the visit, students observed various stages of water purification including raw water pumping, flocculation, chemical treatment, chlorination, rapid sand filtration, and backwashing techniques. The Quality Control Engineer explained the water treatment processes and interacted with the students.

A total of 80 students participated in the visit and were divided into two groups for better learning. Dr. Sajan K. R., HOD & Professor, Dr. Kashyap Suvarna, Associate Professor, and Dr. Shreya N. Padiyar, Assistant Professor, accompanied the students.
