Venous diseases secondary to varicosities are highly prevalent and contribute quite significantly to pain, debility, and reduction in quality of life. A vast majority of patients do not seek treatment due to a lack of awareness. Similarly, benign proctologic conditions including haemorrhoids, fistula-in-ano, anal fissures and pilonidal sinus constitute a significant portion of the workload in general and colorectal surgery. Over the last decade, a plethora of laser-associated treatment options for these conditions has been largely advocated, and many surgeons have added laser-based techniques to their treatment arsenal. These procedures are minimally invasive and have been proven to deliver consistent results with less complications. The Department of General Surgery, Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital, offers best in class laser Treatment of varicose veins, piles, anal fistula, anal fissures and pilonidal sinus at affordable prices.
The workshop served as a platform for learning and sharing knowledge in the use of laser technology in surgery, setting the stage for continued excellence in healthcare education and practice.
