LIVER TRANSPLANT - Guest Lecture by Dr. Ashwin Alva

The Department of General Surgery, Father Muller Medical College, conducted a Guest Lecture on 28th June 2025 at 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the Knowledge Centre AV Hall. Dr. Sanjana Arjun, who anchored the programme, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speaker Dr. Ashwin Alva, consultant surgical gastroenterologist at AJ Hospital, Mangalore, who is also an alumnus of our institution. Dr. Leo F. Tauro, Professor of Surgery welcomed the guest speaker with a floral bouquet. The session was moderated by Dr. Sudheer K., consultant surgical gastroenterologist at FMMCH.  

Dr. Ashwin Alva delivered a lecture on “Liver Transplant”. He explained regarding the relevant clinical aspects including complications and outcomes of liver transplant. The guest speaker had an interactive session with the postgraduates and staff members. It was very well appreciated by all the participants.

Dr. Erel Diaz and Dr Sudheer K. handed over the memento and certificate to the guest speaker. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sanjana Arjun. This guest lecture was attended by Staff, Post Graduate Residents and house surgeons of General Surgery Department.
