Dr. Rakesh Rai, Professor and head, Dr. Clement R S Dsouza, Dr. Leo Francis Tauro, Dr. John Joseph S. Martis, Dr. Prathvi Shetty, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Dr. Frana Dsouza along with 2nd and 1st year Post graduate residents attended KSCASI-midCON 2025 held at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore on 9th and 10th August 2025.

Faculty contribution:

Ø  Dr. Rakesh Rai, Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery

• Delivered a lecture on “LAP TEP/TAP”, sharing insights into laparoscopic techniques and advancements.

Ø  Dr. Leo Francis Tauro, Professor of Surgery

• Chaired the scientific session on “Approach and TIPS to Parathyroid Surgery”
• Served as a Judge for the Award and Free Paper Session, contributing to academic evaluation and recognition.

Ø  Dr. John Joseph S. Martis, Professor of Surgery

• Chaired the scientific session on “PAOD”, facilitating discussion on vascular surgical approaches.

Ø  Dr. Prathvi Shetty, Professor of Surgery.

o    Chaired the scientific session on “Lichtenstein Hernioplasty”, guiding discourse on hernia repair techniques.
