11th State Level Inter-collegiate Debate (FORENSIS-2026)

FORENSIS 2026 - 11th State Level inter-collegiate Debate for MBBS students was organised by the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Father Muller Medical College on 16th May 2026 at Knowledge Centre Hall, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore.
Inaugural function of the debate was held from 9.30 am to 10 am. Dr. Hareesh S Gouda, Professor & Head, Dept. of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology welcomed the invitees and participants to the program. Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, FMCI has delivered the Presidential address. Rev. Dr. Michael Santhumayor Administrator FMMC, Dr. Udaykumar K (Medical Superintendent, FMMCH), Heads & faculty of various departments of FMMC & other Medical Colleges and MBBS students were present during the program.
Totally 12 teams from the Karnataka State were participated in the Debate. The competition was judged by Ms. Meghana Anand (Advocate, Mangalore), Dr. Vijay Inbanathan (Clinical Psychologist, Mangalore) Dr. Kiran Prasad B, (Head of the Department of Sociology, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore)
A written QUIZ was conducted on Forensic Medicine topics for the teams who could not make it to the finals of the Debate competition to encourage the students to be present and support the teams during the Final round.
The Judges of the competition distributed the certificates to the winners and participants.
Winners of the Debate (Best Team award):
1st place: Ms. Mahnoor Shaik & Ms. Khadija Kaiser (Yenepoya Medical college).
2nd place: Ms. Anshika Arya & Ms. Haneen Muzaffar (Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences, Mukka)
3rd place: Mr. Nikhil Kamarth & Mr. Sanjith Ganesh Hegde ( K. S. Hegde Medical Academy)
Inauguration of VERITAS – Muller’s Forensic Club 2026-27 was also held during the Inaugural ceremony of FORENSIS 2026. The Administrator, FMMC distributed certificate of appreciation to the outgoing core committee members. Short video of the activities conducted by the student club was displayed to the audience during the program.
