The Swachh Bharat Club and Institutional Values and Best Practices Committee of Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON) in association with CODP (Canara Organization for development and Peace), Mangalore, completed its second project of Eco-bench construction at the student corner of FMCI campus. The bench was inaugurated by Rev. Sr Jacintha Dsouza, Principal and Dr Agnes EJ, Vice Principal of FMCON on May 14, 2024. The activity began in the month of June, 2023 where the students and staff collected empty 2 litre plastic bottles from different places and the dry plastics from the institutional campus. The first eco bench was constructed at Gujjarakere Park, Morgans gate, Mangaluru and was inaugurated on January 15, 2024. The current bench was constructed using 40 bottles. The students who contributed exceptionally towards the completion of this project were awarded with mementos as green warriors and those won in the competitions were awarded with prizes. The program was planned and executed by the chairpersons of the committees, Ms Priya Pereira and Ms Sandra Saldanha.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing of Father Muller College of Nursing (a unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions), in collaboration with the Department of District Health and Family Welfare, Mangalore, organized an International Midwifery Day celebration at the Decennial Memorial Hall today. The event commenced at 9 a.m. with an enlightening talk on HPV by Dr. Deepa Kanagal, Head of the OBG Department at Father Muller Medical College and Hospital.


The official inauguration took place at 10 a.m., with Mrs. Ramyashree S., the organizing secretary, extending a warm welcome to the attendees. Dr. H. R. Thimmaiah, District Health Officer of Mangalore, emphasized the invaluable contributions of midwives and Asha workers to society. He underscored the continuous nature of learning and the critical roles of both mothers and nurses, noting that without women or nurses, the world would cease to function.

Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, delivered the presidential address. He highlighted the often-overlooked hard work of Asha workers who go door-to-door providing essential health services and encouraged participants to seize the opportunities presented to them.


The event also honored Mrs. Damayanthi N., an ASHA worker, for her dedicated service to women and children. The session concluded with Ms. Clerita Lobo proposing the vote of thanks.

Following the formal proceedings, the OBG Nursing Department conducted hands-on sessions covering CPR, first aid management during emergencies, and breast self-examination. Additionally, a campus tour showcased the facilities available at the college to the delegates. A total of 66 ASHA workers from Dakshina Kannada participated in the workshop, which concluded at 1:30 p.m.


The celebration not only recognized the critical work of midwives and ASHA workers but also provided valuable training and insights, reinforcing the essential role these professionals play in the healthcare system.

A poignant farewell and installation ceremony was held for Rev. Sr Jacintha Dsouza, outgoing Principal of Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON), as well as the installation of the new Principal and Chief Nursing Officer. The event took place at 3:30 PM in the Decennial Memorial Hall, located on the 2nd floor of the Knowledge Centre.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of FMCI; Rev. Fr Ajith B Menezes, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College (FMMC); and Rev. Fr Jeevan George Sequeira, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH).

The ceremony commenced with a prayer song by the nursing students, setting a solemn and respectful tone. Dr Agnes EJ delivered the welcome address, followed by heartfelt words of gratitude from Mr Abel Joseph, Vice President of the Student Nursing Council.

Dr Shiji PJ delivered a touching citation, encapsulating the remarkable journey and accomplishments of Sr Jacintha, highlighting her dedication and contributions to the institution. Sr Jacintha was felicitated for her years of service, with the nursing students and faculty expressing their appreciation through a farewell song.

Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of FMCI, announced the new leadership. Rev. Sr Dhanya Devasia, former Chief Nursing Officer, was introduced as the new Principal, and Rev. Sr Nancy Mathias was named the new Chief Nursing Officer. The ceremonial handing over of charge from the outgoing to the incoming principal and CNO symbolized the seamless transition of leadership.

In her farewell address, Sr Jacintha reflected on her tenure, expressing gratitude for the experiences and the people who shaped her journey. "I am the way I am because of my experiences and the people around me who have shaped me. I am grateful," she said.

The new Principal, Sr Dhanya, shared her mixed feelings of gratitude and commitment. "I am grateful and will take my responsibility well and do my best," she affirmed. Similarly, Sr Nancy expressed her honor at being chosen as the new CNO, promising to give her best in the role.

Rev. Fr Richard delivered the presidential address, congratulating Sr Jacintha, Sr Dhanya, and Sr Nancy. He bid farewell to Sr Jacintha, wished her well on her new mission, and expressed his confidence in the capabilities of the new leaders. Quoting the day's scripture and the words of Jesus, he emphasized the importance of unity for smooth functioning at all levels.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Sonia Sequeira, followed by a video display of memories from Sr Jacintha's tenure, leaving attendees with a sense of gratitude and optimism for the future.

Rev. Sr Jacintha Dsouza, born in Madanthyar to Late Raymond Dsouza and Late Lucy Moras, began her illustrious journey at Father Muller's as an assistant lecturer in January 1990. Over the years, she advanced through various roles, demonstrating exceptional commitment and leadership. Her tenure as Principal of FMCON since May 2017 has been marked by significant contributions to the institution's growth and excellence.

The ceremony was emceed by Dr. Josmitha Dsouza, ensuring the event proceeded smoothly and respectfully, honoring the legacy of Sr Jacintha while welcoming the new leaders with optimism and hope for the future.


The event marked the end of a significant chapter and the beginning of a new era at Father Muller Charitable Institutions, underlining the institution's commitment to excellence and compassionate service.

The Student Nurses Council of Father Muller School and College of Nursing proudly organized 'Oneiro 2K24- Indicates A Dream'a vibrant cultural fest held from May 8th to May 10th, 2024, at Academy Hall of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. The cultural fest began with great zeal as Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, ceremoniously unveiled the Oneiro 2024 banner during the inaugural ceremony on May 8th, 2024, at 9 a.m. His motivating address underscored the significance of co-curricular activities, emphasizing both relaxation and the opportunity to exhibit oneself. The cultural extravaganza commenced at 10 a.m. in the Academy Hall with a soulful prayer song, followed by captivating performances by the Western Vocal Group. The ensuing days were filled with a myriad of activities including Rangoli, Hairstyling, Video Choreography, Face Painting, Henna Art, Eastern and Western Group Singing, and a Fashion Show. On May 9th, 2024, events such as Mock Press, Elocution, Bottle Art, Duet Dance, Fusion Dance, Group Presentations, and Ad Making added to the excitement. The grand finale on May 10th, 2024, featured the much-awaited Mr. & Mrs. FMCON contest, followed by the distribution of prizes and the valedictory ceremony of the cultural fest. The event culminated with a scintillating performance by a live band, leaving everyone in high spirits. The fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing their talents and creativity. The Overall Championship was claimed by Team Alpha, reflecting their outstanding performance across various events. Winners of each event were honoured with Medals, Certificates, and Cash Prizes, recognizing their exceptional skills and efforts. The esteemed Judges of every event were acknowledged with mementos and certificates of appreciation. Oneiro 2K24 concluded on May 10th, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. with institutional anthem.

The Annual Sports week of Father Muller Charitable institutions was started on 14 April 2024 and the formal Inauguration of the Athletic meet was conducted on 18 April 2024 at Father Muller Stadium. The programme began at 4.235 pm by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song. Dr Jeedhu Radhakrishnan, Consultant & Head of Department of Emergency Medicine, Kasturba Medical College Hospital was the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI presided the event. Rev. Fr Ajith B Menezes, Administrator, FMMC extended a warm welcome to the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. Administrators and Principals of all Colleges were present on the dais.

The programme began with the March Past of different batches of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. The Chief Guest inaugurated the programme by hoisting the Institutional flag and releasing balloons. The Kreeda Jyothi was done by the athletes of the institution and the torch signified the spirit of true sportsmanship. The student representatives pledged the oath and it was administered by Royston Glany Dsilva, Sports secretary of Father Muller College of Nursing. The Physical Instructors and sports Coordinators were in charge of various events.

Dr Sonia Karen Liz Sequeira, Faculty of College of Nursing and Ms Valeri Lobo, Student from Allied health sciences compered the inaugural programme as well as the athletics event. The valedictory program took place at 9.00 pm on 19 April 2024.  Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes and Faculty of various institutions honoured the winners of athletic events. The individual and group championship of each institution were distributed. Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes declared the Meet closed by lowering the flag and the event concluded at 10.00 pm.

The General Health camp was held on 15thApril 2024 at, Mangaluru 1stDepot, Bejai, from 9am to 1pm, organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru in collaboration with KSRTC Bus Depot Mangaluru. Departments such as General Medicine with ECG, Dermatology, Orthopedics, and Ophthalmology along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available. Ms Vidya Mohan, Assistant Lecturer from Father Muller College of Nursing along with 2nd year PBBSc Nursing students participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines for the beneficiaries. There were 63 beneficiaries for this camp and camp was coordinated by Ms Vidya Mohan faculty of father Muller College of Nursing.

The General Health camp was held on 07th April, 2024 at District Prison, Mangaluru, Organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru in collaboration with St Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangaluru. Departments such as General Medicine with ECG, Dermatology along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available. Ms Caroline Smitha, Assistant Lecturer from Father Muller College of Nursing along with nursing student Mr Ghanshyam Prasad participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines for the beneficiaries. There were 200 beneficiaries for this camp and camp was coordinated by Ms Caroline Smitha faculty of Father Muller College of Nursing.

Governance and Leadership Criteria committee organized a session on Workplace Etiquette and CPR for Non-health care personnel of Father Muller College of Nursing on 27/03/2024 between 10.30 am - 3.30 pm in the Syndicate Hall. Ms Caroline Smitha briefed on workplace etiquette, Ms Anitha Suvares conducted interactive games and Ms Precilla Dsilva taught the technique of CPR using a mannequin.  A total of 12 staff were benefited from this program.

A General Health Camp on 24 March 2024 at Manasa Mantapa, Urwastore Mangaluru, was organized by Father Muller Medical Collage Hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru in collaboration with St.Dominic Church Ashoknagar, Catholic Sabha Ashoknagar Unit in association with the Commission for Interreligious Dialogue, Commission for Health, Commission for Labour in association with Shree Sharadha Pooja Samithi Urwastore, Mangala Friends Circle Urwastore. Departments such as General Medicine with ECG, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, and Ophthalmology along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were available. Ms Raina Jenifer Mascarenhas, Assistant Lecturer from Father Muller College of Nursing, and the nursing students participated in the camp's activities by dispensing free medicines for the beneficiaries. There were 320 beneficiaries for this camp. Ms Raina Jenifer Mascarenhas, the faculty of Father Muller College of Nursing, coordinated the camp.

Research Cell of Father Muller College of Nursing organized first ever Research Day on 02 March, 2024. The pompous celebration began with an inaugural ceremony at 9.30am in Rajath Bhavan and was inaugurated by Dr Ramesh Bhat, Head of Research Centre, Father Muller Charitable Institutions. This was followed by a quiz contest on research for students of both PG and UG and Dr Sasikumarwas the quiz master for the same. An informative talk on the topicEmpowering tomorrow's nurses: Igniting passion for Research and Publication was delivered by Dr Animesh Jain, Department of Community Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. The event was concluded by the awarding ceremony to the exemplary researcher and the winners of the quiz contest which was presided by Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI.

Women's cell of Father Muller College of Nursing organized a poster competition on the theme "Inspire Inclusion" for all the students of FMCON on 7th March, 2024. The total number of registrations were 20 and the event was judged by Dr Shivashankara AR, Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Ms Melissa Saldanha, Speech language Pathologist.The celebration of International Women's Day on 8th March 2024was organized for all the teachers, clerical staff and nursing students by Women's Cell. Dr Sonia Karen Liz Sequeira, Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing delivered a message on the theme, 'Investing in women: Accelerate progress'. An inspirational video prepared by 3rd BSc Nursing students captured the hearts of the audience. The winners of the poster competition were awardedwith certificate and cash prizes. The staff organizers for the program were Mrs Sonia Lobo, Mrs Sandra Saldanha, Mrs Sabeena MTP and Mrs Stacy Pinto. A total of 137 women participated in the program.

The atmosphere was one of excitement and pride as Father Muller School of Nursing, Father Muller College of Nursing, and Father Muller College (Speech & Hearing) came together to celebrate their Graduation Ceremony 2024 on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 3.30 pm at the prestigious Father Muller Convention Centre. The event was graced by esteemed guests and dignitaries, including Dr. AVS Ramesh Chandra, IFS Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, as the Chief Guest; Prof. Dr. UT Ifthikar Fareed, Syndicate Member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, as the Guest of Honour; and Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, President of FMCI, who presided over the ceremony.

The procession, led by the graduands, followed by the faculty and dignitaries, set a solemn and celebratory tone for the evening.

Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho Director FMCI welcomed the gathered and introduced the chief guest and guest of honour. He instilled a sense of responsibility to the to be graduates to be ambassadors of the Institution being ever growing in the motto of 'Heal and Comfort' 
The Chief Guest, Dr. A VS Ramesh Chandra, delivered an inspiring Graduation Address, commending the institution for its dedication to both healthcare and education. He urged the graduates to consider serving their country before seeking opportunities abroad, emphasizing the importance of being cautious and diligent in their career pursuits.

The Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. UT Ifthikar Fareed, encouraged the graduates to continually enhance their talents and skills, highlighting the role of discipline and work ethics instilled by their alma mater. He expressed pride in his association with institutions run by priests, acknowledging the role they play in shaping disciplined and skilled individuals.

The Presidential Address by Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha focused on compassion and empathy in patient care. He emphasized the significance of body posture, eye contact, and a simple smile in making a difference in patients' lives. Drawing inspiration from Mother Teresa, he shared anecdotes and analogies that underscored the power of a smile and its ability to transcend barriers.

The list of graduates were read out by the respective principals and the certificates were handed by guests.

The ceremony also included the presentation of certificates to the graduates by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, followed by the administration of the Oath. 

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the Overall Excellence Awards for 2024. In the field of B.Sc Nursing, the Overall Excellence Award was donated by Fr. Denis D Sa in memory of Mrs. Mary D Sa, and was awarded to Ms. Lishmitha Lorel Dsouza. Similarly, in the field of GNM, the award, founded by the Superior General, Sisters of Charity, was bestowed upon Ms. Adlene Irell Pereira, recognizing their outstanding achievements and dedication.

Additionally, the Best Outgoing Student of the Year 2020-2024 in Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (B.ASLP) was awarded to Ms. Anisha Michel Sequeira under Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Mangaluru, highlighting her exceptional performance and commitment to excellence.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt tribute to the guests by the Bishop of Mangalore, expressing gratitude for their presence and contributions to the success of the ceremony. As the graduates embark on their professional journeys, they carry with them the teachings and values instilled by Father Muller institutions, poised to make a difference in the world of healthcare.

Dr Agnes vice principal of FMSCON read the vote of thanks, Mrs laveena Assoc Professor FMSCON and Mr Prashasthi Poovaiyah Assoc Professor FMC compeered the event. The Institutional Anthem was played after the oath and National anthem was played as the recessional.

In closing, the Graduation Ceremony 2024 at Father Muller School of Nursing, Father Muller College of Nursing, and Father Muller College (Speech & Hearing) was a celebration of achievements, a testament to the commitment to excellence, and a reminder of the noble mission to serve with compassion and dedication.

Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) recently held a prestigious ceremony to award scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024 to the most deserving students of its educational institutions. The event, which took place on Friday, 8th March 2024, at 10.30 am in the Hospital Conference Hall, was a celebration of academic excellence and a testament to FMCI's commitment to nurturing talented individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Chief Guest Dr. Leo Francis Tauro professor and unit head of the Department of General Surgery at Father Muller Medical College (FMMC). The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho Director FMCI. Other dignitaries present included Rev. Fr. Ajith B Menezes Administrator FMMC, Rev. Fr. George Jeevan Sequeira Administrator Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Rev. Fr. Roshan Crasta Administrator Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, and Rev. Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo  Administrator  Father Muller Hospital and Nursing College Thumbe. The presence of principals, vice principals, deans of colleges, students, and parents added to the grandeur of the event.

Sr. Jacintha D'Souza, Principal of Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON) and Father Muller School of Nursing (FMSON), extended a warm welcome to the gathering. She set the tone for the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting talented students who aspire to excel despite facing economic challenges.

A total of 47 students, hailing from economically poor backgrounds yet demonstrating exceptional academic prowess, were awarded scholarships amounting to 25 lakh rupees. These scholarships serve as a beacon of hope for these students, enabling them to pursue their educational dreams and reach their full potential.

During his address, Chief Guest Dr. Leo Francis Tauro quoted the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, stressing the importance of hard work, dedication, and resilience in the face of failure. He congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to cultivate a fiery spirit, work hard, and have the courage to grow and move forward. He advised them to seek God's blessings, stay away from bad habits, practice discipline, and avoid reckless spending. He emphasized the significance of balance in life, the value of a smile, and the importance of staying humble and helping the needy when one is in a position to do so.

Rev. Fr. Ajith B Menezes, who organized the entire program, highlighted the institution's commitment to supporting deserving students through scholarships.
Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, in his address, highlighted the institution's commitment to providing scholarships and urged students to remain focused, goal-oriented, and grateful for the opportunities they have received. He reminded them of their purpose as future healthcare professionals and emphasized the value of simplicity, humility, and excellence; He also reflected on the significance of International Women's Day, urging everyone to respect all life and be humane in their actions. He spoke about the virtue of poverty, drawing parallels with the teachings of the Sermon on the Mount, where the poor are blessed and humbleness leads to greatness.

A touching moment came when a student named Andrea, speaking on behalf of scholarship recipients, expressed gratitude to Bishop of Mangalore and President of FMCI Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha for sanctioning the scholarships and to the Director for instituting the distribution of the same.
The ceremony concluded with a message of gratitude to parents for their support and a reminder to students to pay back to society when they are successful. It was a day filled with inspiration, reflection, and gratitude, highlighting the values of education, humility, and service instilled by FMCI in its students.

In conclusion, the scholarship awards ceremony at FMCI was not just a celebration of academic excellence but also a reaffirmation of the institution's commitment to nurturing talent and supporting students in their pursuit of knowledge and excellence. Through such initiatives, FMCI continues to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change in the lives of many deserving individuals.

A General Health camp was held on 25th February 2024 Badriya Help Line Halemane, Navooru, Bantwal organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru in collaboration with Badriya Help Line Halemane, Navooru, Bantwal. Departments such as General Medicine with ECG, OBG, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available. Ms Caroline Smitha, Assistant Lecturer from Father Muller College of Nursing along with nursing students Ms Melita J DSouza, Ms Lenisha, Mr Rainal R Demello and Mr James Dsouza participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines for the beneficiaries. There were 127 beneficiaries for this camp and the camp was coordinated by Ms Caroline Smitha faculty of Father Muller College of Nursing.

A general health camp, Cancer awareness and screening camp were held on 18th February 2023 at Our Lady of Remedies Church Hall, Kirem, Damaskatteorganised by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with Jyothi Stre Sangatane, ICYM, Stre Ayogha and Arogya, Indian cancer society. Departments such as General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Surgical Oncology, Dermatology, ECG, Laboratory and Pharmacy services were available. Cancer screening was done through physical examination, Pap smear test, Oral examination and Breast self-examination. Ms Deepika N C Assistant Professor from the Department of Community Health Nursing was the camp coordinator. Three students from II-yearPBBSc Nursing participated in the camp activities by assisting in BP Checking, taking ECG and dispensing free medicines to the beneficiaries. There were 391 beneficiaries for this camp.

A Health camp was held on 4th February 2024 at Whitegove Agri LLP Farm Premises, Vamanjoor organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with Whitegove Agri LLP Farm for the farm employees. Departments such as General Medicine and Ophthalmology and ECG, Laboratory, and Pharmacy services were available. Ms Sonia Karen Liz Sequera, Associate Professor from the Department of Community Health Nursing was the camp coordinator. Three students from 2nd year PBBSc Nursing participated in the camp's activities by assisting in ECG and dispensing free medicines to the beneficiaries. There were 177 beneficiaries for this camp.

Research Innovation & Extension Committee, Father Muller College of Nursing organised a workshop on the topic "Sensitivity, Specificity, PPV, NPV and ROC Analysis using JAMOVI and overview on Randomization" on 27.01.2024, from 9:00am to 4:00pm in the Syndicate Hall, FMCON.Ms. Preeval Shreya Crasta, Assistant Professor& Statistician, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore, was the resource person. The session was began with an overview of randomization, Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Analysis, Positive Predictive Value (PPV), Negative Predictive Value (NPV) and also hands-on practice sessions were conducted using various software such as MS Excel, Openepi.com, Sealed envelop.com, JAMOVI, etc. Altogether 19 faculty actively participated and given positive feedback. 

Altogether 17 faculty actively participated in this training programme.

The Megh General Health camp was held on 20th January 2024 at, Sarwajanika Arogya Samudaya Kendra, Masoor, Rattihalli Taluk, organized by Father Muller medical collage hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru in collaboration with Sarwajanika Arogya Samudaya Kendra. Departments such as General Medicine with ECG, OBG, Paediatrics, Dermatology, General surgery, orthopaedics, psychiatry and Ophthalmology along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available. Ms Vidya Mohan and Ms Raina Jenifer Mascarenhas, Assistant Lecturer from Father Muller College of Nursing along with nursing students participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines for the beneficiaries. There were 1250 beneficiaries for this camp and Ms Raina Jenifer Mascarenhas faculty of father Muller College of Nursing coordinated camp.

Alumni Association of Father Muller College of Nursing organized an Alumni Meet on 20th January 2024 at Rajath Bhavan, Father Muller College of Nursing. A total of 18 alumni of BSc Nursing 1992-1996 batch currently working in India and various countries like USA, Canada, Australia, Dubai, Ireland etcwere visited the institution. Rev. Sr. Jacintha Dsouza, Principal, along with Dr Shiji PJ, President, Alumni Association FMCON, welcomed the gathering. Alumni offered a Holy Eucharistic thanksgiving mass celebrated by Rev. Fr Richard Aloysious Coelho at 7:45 am followed by visit to FMCI campus.

Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director FMCI, addressed the alumni. Rev Sr Loredana Korah, former Principal FMCON, Sr. Dhanya Devasia CNO, invitees from other institutions were presided over the program. As a token of love to the Alma Mater, alumni contributed Rupees 1 lakh 25 thousand for the FMCON Alumni fund to award scholarships for the students for academic excellence.

A one day general health and cancer screening camp was held on 14th January 2024 at Anganwadi ground, near Anasaaliya Jumma Masjid, 9th Block, Katipalla organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with United Welfare Foundation(R), and Indian Cancer Society. General Medicine, OBG, Pediatrics, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Medical oncology OPD along with Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available to 234 beneficiaries. Ms Sushmita, Ms Keerthana, Ms Soundarya, Ms Sindhoora students of I year GNM Nursing participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines to the beneficiaries and assisting in ECG. Ms Priya S Pereira, faculty from Father Muller College of Nursing was the coordinator for the camp.
