Mass Health Education on Prevention of Substance Abuse

The
students of II year GNM, as a part of their Mental Health Nursing Practicals,
conducted a mass health education on Prevention
of Substance Abuse on January 11, 2020 at 9.00 am in the Vailankanni ward.
The programme commenced with a prayer song. The welcome speech was given by Ms
Divya Francis followed by a role play.
The
students explained the causes, types, signs and symptoms and management of the
topic using various A.V aids. The inmates and patients of Vailankanni ward were
present. Subject Co-ordinator and Faculties of Father Muller School of Nursing
graced the occasion. The play was performed in Kannada.
Vote
of thanks was given by Ms Joyce DSouza. The Programme came to an end at 9.30
am. Ms Denvira Castelino compered the program. Around 30 patients benefited from
this Mass health education.
