MASS HEALTH EDUCATION ON POSTNATAL CARE

The students of III YEAR GNM as a part of their OBG practical conducted a mass health education on 20-03-2021 at 10 am in 'H' ward on "postnatal care and Breastfeeding". The programme was commenced with a prayer song lead by Ms Pushpa and the group. Mr Royden Colaco III year GNM student welcomed the gathering.

        The students explained about postnatal care which includes diet after delivery of the child, postnatal visits to the doctor, Postnatal advice, exercises and breastfeeding by using various audio-visual aids and by performing a role play. Postnatal exercises were demonstrated to the patients by Ms Flavia Rodrigues and breastfeeding techniques were demonstrated by Ms Ashna E Benny.  The patients of 'H' ward and their relatives were present. Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal Father Muller School of Nursing along with the faculty and ward in charge graced the occasion.

           A vote of thanks was given by Ms Vinutha D Souza III year GNM student. The Programme came to an end at 10.45 am. Refreshments were served at the end. Ms Rashmitha III year GNM compered the programme. Around 25 patients were benefited from it.
