Street play - Awareness Program on "Tuberculosis"

The world Tuberculosis Day was observed on March 24, 2022, by the students of III year GNM by conducting a public awareness program on "Tuberculosis" through a street play at the outskirts of the Shayadri educational institutions. The program began at 10.30 am by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song led by Ms. Reema Ferrao and group.

Ms. Reema Ferrao, III year GNM student, welcomed the gathering. Sr. Nancy Priya Mathias, Principal, FMSON, along with the Community health nursing faculty Mrs. Vidya Mohan, Mrs. Caroline Smitha and Mrs. Raina Mascarenhas graced the program.

Dr. Puneet Kumar, was the chief guest of the program. He addressed the gathering regarding the Tuberculosis, its prevention and responsibilities of every individual to prevent the disease.

The students performed the street play on the various aspects of Tuberculosis its causes, how to identify the signs and symptoms of the disease, diagnostic evaluation, prevention, treatment modalities and the various government benefits available.

Ms. Nischitha Bekal, delivered the vote of thanks. Refreshments were served. Ms. Viona Almeida compered the program. Total of 20 people benefitted from the program.
