Domestic waste management and Nutrition program

The students of I year GNM conducted
the public health awareness program on ' Domestic waste management' and
Nutrition programon July 30,2022 in the VriksharajaSabhaBhavan, Adyarpadav.
The program began at 10.45 am by invoking
god's blessings through a prayer song byI year GNM students. Ms. Keerthana,
welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Shashikala, retired ANM, Adyar PHC was the chief
guest of the program. She addressed the gathering regarding the Waste
management.
Mrs. Shashikala, the chief guest, Mrs.Flavia,the
Asha worker, Adyar, The Community health nursing faculty Mrs. Caroline Smitha,
Mrs. Vidya Mohan, Ms.Sonia KerenSequeira, Ms. Apoorva and Ms. Monishagraced the
program.
The studentsperformed the role play
on the aspects of Waste disposal. Also, the students prepared, displayed and
provided information on the postnatal, diabetic, hypertensive, renal, Jaundice
and cardio-vascular diet and made the people aware of the foods that should be
taken according to their health conditions.
Ms. Jelisha Lopez, delivered the vote
of thanks. Ms. Maria Jasmine D Souza, compered the program. Total of 40 people
were benefitted from the program.
