Mass Health Education and Nutrition Program

The students of first-year GNM conducted the "Mass Health Education and Nutrition Programme" on 28/07/2023 at 10.30 am in "APMC Building" Adyar Padav. The programme began with a prayer song led by Ms Elvina Babu Siddi and group. The group was welcomed by Ms Latha O G. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries Dr Shiji P J, HOD, Mrs Caroline Smitha, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Community Health Nursing, FMCON along with Asha worker Mrs Prathiba Nayak and Anganwadi teacher Mrs Sudhashini. The students educated the public on the topic "Mental Health" by using AV aids and through a skit followed by a nutrition demonstration by the students about various diet plans like the DASH diet, diet during Diarrhoea, Diet during Fever, Diet for Anemia and weaning diet. Program was compered by Ms Latha O G. Refreshments were served to the gathering. There were around 50 beneficiaries for this program. The program was guided by the staff of the Department of Community Health Nursing.
