Optometry is a healthcare profession that is autonomous, educated, and regulated, and Optometrists are the primary healthcare practitioners of the eye and visual system who provide comprehensive eye and vision care, which includes refraction and prescribing both correctional spectacle and contact lenses or eye exercises, detection or diagnosis and management of disease in the eye, and the rehabilitation of conditions of the visual system.
The student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over four academic years including one-year internship. The course is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and availability of seats is 20.
