Visit to Simulation and Skill Centre

Muller Department of Hospital administration visited the simulation and skill
centre on 26th November 2022. A training session for students of 1st
semester MHA on "First Aid & CPR" was conducted by Mr. Pradeep Dsouza -
simulation technician, Mrs. Lavina Nazareth - ANS, and Mrs. Shilpa S - ANS.
Initially, the session began with a welcome speech by Ms. Riyana Pinto, Ist MHA. Later,
Mrs. Shilpa briefed on the basis of First Aid, steps to be taken during any
emergencies such as accidents, snake bites and burns etc.
Mrs.
Laveena Nazareth briefed on the CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation). A demo
session on preliminary steps to be performed for CPR was conducted for
situations such as patient collapse at house/external premises, on handling choking
during a constricted or obstructed throat for pregnant women or newborn baby
by Mrs. Shilpa.
All
students participated enthusiastically throughout the session and later they had a glance at the simulation centre proceeded by Mr. Pradeep.
Ms.
Priyanka Pinto, conveyed a vote of thanks to the gathering.
