of Fr. Muller College of Allied Health Sciences, Mangalore organized a Guest
lecture on "Hospital Infection" on 17.06.2023.
The resource person was Dr. Thomas Kurville, Professor & Infection
control officer, Department of Microbiology, Father Muller Medical College.
.It was a knowledge enriching session
for MHA students. He explained about hospital infection committees, types of
hospital acquired infection, major creative agents for hospital acquired
infection, HIC checklist, extended precautions and bio medical waste management
procedures. He also spoke about his experiences with few illustrations from the
field of hospital infections control.
Students gained knowledge on hospital infection control; and major precautions against hospital acquired infections.
