75th Independence Day celebration

The 75th Independence day celebration was held at Father Muller Hospital Thumbay on Sunday 15th August 2021 at 8.00am. The hospital staff & patient's relatives assembled in front of the hospital for the flag hoisting ceremony.
Rev Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator FMHT welcomed the gathering. Dr Kiran Shetty, Medical Superintendent was present for the programme.
Rev Fr John Vas, Chaplain FMH was the chief guest & he hoisted the national flag.
Addressing the gathering he said, "This day teaches us the importance of patriotism and strengthens our unity irrespective of any differences. India is the greatest country with regards to having its own constitution & having diverse of culture &religion. That's the richness of India we all need to cherish & save it. He also remembered the Jallianwalabagh hatyakand happened on April 13, 1919 also gave tribute to all the freedom fighters who gave their breath for the nation".
On this occasion sweets were distributed to all gathered & to the patients too.
Prayer song was lead by Ms. Ayshath Shaziya and team.
The whole programme was anchored by Mrs. Sharal Lobo, Staff Nurse.
