Foundation Stone laying Ceremony' for New Building of Father Muller Nursing College, Thumbay on Tuesday, 26th July 2022 at 4.00 pm.

The programme began with a prayer song .

The welcome address was delivered by Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions where he mentioned that "Bishop is a Pearl of our diocese". He said Late Mr. Mohidin who was very keen the founder of the BA group from whom FMHT was taken over. FMHT should reach greater heights. His son Mr. Abdul Salam expressed his sentiments of happiness on this occasion. Fr Richard said that the institution growing and achieving new millstones every year. A total of 40 seats are made available in the Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay. 32 students have been admitted and 8 more will be joining soon. 4 of which are religious sisters. The dream dreamt 3 years ago has now become a reality.

The Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and President of FMCI, blessed the foundation stone and laid it in presence of the Director FMCI Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho and all those who had gathered. The Bishop along with other dignitaries unveiled the New Building Sketch of Father Muller Nursing College, Thumbay.

Bishop in his message said, "Nursing is a very good profession and nurses who have graduated out of Father Muller Nursing College or School are serving the patients all over the world. Nurses are very much needed in the USA, UK, Israel, Gulf Countries among many other places. He hoped that the 40 students of the first batch of nursing college-Thumbay will pass out with flying colours, with all the good training and teaching from the experienced and professional faculty of FMCI"

All the dignitaries were felicitated with a memento by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and President of Father Muller Charitable Institutions

Vote of thanks was proposed by Rev Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator Father Muller Hospital Thumbay.

Programme concluded with the institutional anthem. The programme was anchored by Mrs Wilma Fernandes, Staff Nurse.
