The Mangalore Diocese, in association with the Catholic Board of Education, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, St. Aloysius College, and St. Joseph's Engineering College, organized a walkathon on Friday, October 18, 2024, to raise awareness about drug abuse in the city.
The event began at St. Aloysius College at 2 p.m., where students carried placards advocating against drug abuse as they walked toward Nehru Maidan. Among the participants, 31 students from Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences actively participated, carrying banners and hoardings that highlighted the dangers of drug abuse.

The walkathon culminated with a program at Nehru Maidan, where Dr. Shivashankar delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participants in spreading awareness about this critical issue.
