The Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 with the inspiring theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” on 19th June 2025 at 9:30 AM in the college auditorium. The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Satish S, Principal of the college. In his address, he emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being, especially for pharmacy students and professionals who shoulder the responsibility of promoting health in society.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College, delivered a thought-provoking message highlighting the global relevance of yoga in promoting holistic health and environmental harmony.
The session was enriched by an engaging and practical demonstration led by the Resource Person, Dr. Nisha C, In-charge of the Department of Naturopathy and Yoga, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Mangalore. Dr. Nisha emphasized the interconnectedness of individual well-being and planetary health, aligning with this year’s theme. Participants were guided through simple and effective yoga postures and breathing techniques suitable for daily practice.
The program was effectively coordinated by Mrs. Fmith,Celvia Miranda, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, whose meticulous planning ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, fostering awareness about yoga as a vital component of a healthy lifestyle. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective resolve to integrate yoga into daily life.
