INAUGURATION CEREMONY– IPCTIP-2026

The inaugural ceremony of the Two-Day National Seminar cum Workshop on "Innovative Practices in Clinical Training and Industry Practices – 2026" was held on 2nd June 2026 at 11.00 a.m. in the Father Muller Homeopathic Auditorium, Father Muller Campus, Mangalore. The programme was organized by Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FMCOPS) in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru and the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Training and Innovation Programme (IPCTIP) 2026.

The programme commenced with the arrival of the dignitaries and a warm welcome by the Masters of Ceremony, Mrs. Nishmitha Gretta D'Souza and Mrs. Fmith Celvia Miranda. The gathering was then led into a solemn atmosphere through a Prayer Song rendered by the students of FMCOPS, invoking divine blessings for the successful conduct of the seminar and workshop.

The dignitaries were escorted to the dais by Dr. Satish S., Principal, and Coordinator IPCTIP 2026 Mr Ramdas Bhatt , Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The inaugural function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Salemulla Khan. Other dignitaries present included Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, FMCOPS, Dr. Satish S., Principal, FMCOPS, and Mr. Ramdas Bhat, Coordinator, IPCTIP 2026.

The formal proceedings began with the Welcome Address delivered by Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty members, researchers, industry experts, students, and participants. He emphasized the importance of bridging academic learning with clinical and industrial exposure to enhance professional competence among pharmacy students. As part of the floral welcome ceremony, Dr. Satish S., Principal, FMCOPS, welcomed Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, with a floral bouquet. Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, in turn, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Salemulla Khan, with a floral bouquet, while the other dignitaries were welcomed with roses.

As a mark of respect and appreciation, the dignitaries were felicitated with floral bouquets. This was followed by the Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance and marking the official inauguration of the seminar

Dr. Satish S., Principal, FMCOPS outlined an overview of Workshop. He highlighted the objectives of the programme and briefly outlined the scientific sessions, workshops, and expert lectures scheduled over the two days. He encouraged participants to actively engage in the sessions to enhance their knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies.

A significant highlight of the inaugural programme was the release of the Abstract Book, which showcased the scholarly contributions of researchers and academicians participating in the seminar. The dignitaries officially released the publication and appreciated the efforts of all contributors.

The gathering was then addressed by the Chief Guest, Dr. Saleemulla Khan, Principal PA College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, Chairman, Board of Studies(BoS), Rajiv Ghandhi University of Health Sciences, (RGUHS), Bangalore , PCI Central Council Member, New Delhi who spoke on the evolving landscape of healthcare education and emphasized the need for innovative clinical training methodologies and stronger collaboration between academia and industry. His insightful address inspired both faculty members and students to embrace innovation, continuous learning, and professional excellence.

The seminar featured eminent academicians, clinicians, researchers, and industry professionals from reputed institutions and organizations across the country, providing participants with a multidisciplinary perspective on contemporary clinical training and industry practices. The resource persons and speakers of the seminar were felicitated in recognition of their valuable contribution to the programme. The distinguished speakers included:

The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, who highlighted the institution's commitment to quality education, research, and professional development. He encouraged participants to make the best use of the opportunities provided through the seminar and workshop and stressed the importance of integrating knowledge, skills, and ethical values in healthcare practice.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Satish S., Principal, FMCOPS, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, chief guest, resource persons, organizing committee, faculty members, students, and participants for their support and contribution towards the successful inauguration of the event

The inaugural session ended with the singing of the Institutional Anthem, marking the formal commencement of the two-day seminar and workshop. The event set a positive and inspiring tone for the academic sessions that followed, fostering meaningful discussions, professional collaboration, and experiential learning among the participants.
