The Valedictory Function of the Two-Day National Seminar-cum-Workshop on “Innovative Practices in Clinical Training and Industry Practices – 2026 (IPCTIP–2026)” was held on 03 June 2026 at Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mangaluru. The programme marked the successful culmination of two days of scientific deliberations, expert lectures, hands-on training sessions, and academic competitions.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Sudhina and Mrs. Sherin Thomas, who ensured the smooth conduct of the proceedings. A warm welcome was extended to the dignitaries, delegates, faculty members, participants, and guests gathered for the occasion
The valedictory programme commenced with a prayer song by the students of Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, invoking divine blessings for the gathering. The dignitaries were then escorted to the dais by the Principal, Dr. Satish S, and the Scientific Committee Coordinator, Mr. Ramdas Bhat. The dignitaries on the dais included the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator FMHPD, Guest of Honour, Dr. Mallappa Shalavadi, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, BVVS Hanagal Shri Kumareshwar College of Pharmacy, Bagalkot, Dr. Satish S, Principal, Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences; and Mr. Ramdas Bhat, Coordinator, IPCTIP–2026.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Satish S, Principal, Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In his address, he highlighted the objectives and achievements of the workshop and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of delegates, resource persons, and organizers who contributed to the success of IPCTIP–2026. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Nelson Dheeraj Pais, was formally welcomed with a floral bouquet by Mr. Ramdas Bhat, Coordinator of IPCTIP–2026. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Mallappa Shalavadi, was welcomed by Ms. Josline, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
As the Guest of Honor and one of the trainers for the two-day workshop, Dr. Mallapa Shalavadi shared his feedback on the successful conduct of IPCTIP–2026. He appreciated the meticulous planning and execution of the workshop by the organizing committee and commended the enthusiastic participation of delegates from various institutions. Reflecting on his experience as a resource person and trainer, he expressed satisfaction with the active involvement, curiosity, and eagerness to learn demonstrated by the participants during the hands-on training sessions.
A feedback session was subsequently conducted, during which selected participants shared their experiences and key takeaways from the workshop. The participants expressed their appreciation for the expert lectures, practical training sessions, scientific competitions, and networking opportunities provided through IPCTIP–2026.
The programme then proceeded to the Prize Distribution Ceremony read by Ms Bhuvanashree Assistant Professor, Pharmacognosy. Winners of the Poster Presentation, Oral Presentation, and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) Competitions were felicitated and awarded prizes and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance. The achievements of the participants reflected the high quality of scientific work presented during the workshop
The Chief Guest Rev Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator, FMHPD then addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the importance of continuous learning, professional development, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration in shaping future healthcare professionals. The address inspired participants to pursue excellence in their academic and professional endeavors.
This was followed by the address of Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital. He congratulated the organizers for successfully conducting the national seminar-cum-workshop and encouraged participants to continue updating their knowledge and skills to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
As a mark of gratitude and appreciation, the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour was honoured with a memento for their valuable presence and contribution to the programme.
As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to representatives of the participating colleges for their active involvement and valuable contribution to IPCTIP–2026. The gesture served as a mark of gratitude and helped strengthen academic collaboration among the institutions.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Ramdas Bhat, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, dignitaries, resource persons, organizing committee members, faculty, students, sponsors, evaluators, and participants for their wholehearted support and contribution towards the successful conduct of IPCTIP–2026.
The programme concluded with the Institutional Anthem, followed by a group photograph session involving dignitaries, organizers, faculty members, and participants
The valedictory function marked the successful completion of IPCTIP–2026 and celebrated the spirit of learning, collaboration, innovation, and professional development fostered throughout the two-day event.
