Visit to Sewage Treatment Plant 2024

IV BHMS students visited Sewage Treatment Plant at Kavoor, Mangalore on 15.06.2024 and observed the screening unit, Grit chamber, primary sedimentation tank, secondary treatment plant, sludge digestion tank and tertiary treatment plant. Service Engineer of the plant explained and interacted with the students & also cleared their doubts. Students were very enthusiastic to learn about the various steps involved in sewage treatment.  

The batch 91 students were divided into two groups each consisting of 45 students. 1^st batch attended the sewage treatment plant in the morning & 2^nd batch in the afternoon for the better learning purpose and the students took part actively.

Dr Kashyap Suvarna, Assistant Professor, Department of community medicine accompanied the students.
