The Department of Paediatrics organized Nurture 2024 a CME on Synapse to Society:
An Overview of Neurodevelopment in Children on August 14, 2024.
Dr
Madhuri Vaidyeshwar,
Medical Director of Vaidhya Child Health and founder of the Mitra for Life
Foundation was the resource person.
The CME began with a prayer song
rendered by the Paediatrics postgraduates, followed by a welcome address by Dr.
Jyoshna Shivaprasad, PG Program Coordinator and Head of the Department of
Paediatrics and introduced the resource person. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal
welcomed the resource person with a floral bouquet.
Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Designate
Director of FMCI and Administrator of FMHMC&H, delivered the presidential
address and mentioned the importance of the role of Paediatricians in society.
The inaugural session concluded with a
vote of thanks by Dr Reshel Noronha, Associate Professor of the Department. A
memento was presented to Dr Madhuri Vaidyeshwar by the Administrator as a token
of appreciation.
Dr Madhuri shared valuable insights into the approach to
neurodevelopmental disorders in children, illustrating her talk with several
cases where homeopathy and other tailored approaches successfully treated ADHD,
autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders in children. It was highly
engaging and interactive session, capturing the audience's attention she skillfully presented complex neurodevelopmental
concepts in an accessible manner by encouraging active participation.
There were 80 participants, including
postgraduates, faculty, and final-year students.
