Retreat & Value Education Programme 2024

The Spiritual Committee organized a retreat for Christians and Value Education Programme for Non-Christians on 27thrnNovember 2024, from 8:45 am to 1:15 pm in the Chapel and FMHMC Auditorium respectively.

Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Designate Director & Administrator, FMHMC co-ordinated the programme. The retreat was conducted in the Chapel of our Lady of Lourdes. The Resource person was Rev Fr Joel Lopez, OFM Capuchin from Ujire, in-charge of the seminarians, who completed his Licentiate in systematic theology in Rome, and the music was mainly led by the Jesus Youth Music Team. Sessions where conducted based on the importance of prayer and scriptures. Activity was conducted based on it.

The Value Education Programme commenced with a melodious prayer song by Ms Harsha and her team, setting a serene and reflective tone for the session. Dr Anita Lobo, Professor, Department of Repertory, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker Mr. Francis D’Cunha.

Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC, addressed the audience with an insightful message. He highlighted the significant contributions of Mr. Francis D’Cunha towards social welfare. He assured the audience that the session would be immensely beneficial for the student community of FMHMC. This was followed by a vote of thanks by the MC & Institution Anthem.

Mr. Francis D’Cunha began his session with a soulful song, encouraging attendees to reflect on their thoughts and emotions. He then engaged the students in an interactive activity by dividing them into groups and conducting a value-based skit. His session was thought-provoking and engaging, leaving a lasting impression on the participants. The programme was compered by Ms. Sushmitha and Ms. Charmika. The Value Education Programme was a meaningful and impactful event, fostering a deeper understanding of values and ethics among the students.

The programmes started at 9:00am followed by session till 01:00pm in the Auditorium and Chapel simultaneously; confessions were conducted in chapel from 11:00am torn12:30pm, followed by mass at 12:30pm.
