The AI Research Workshop entitled “AI in Research – A hands-on workshop on AI tools” was organized by the Research and Scientific Committee of the College on 29th January 2025. Dr Dhaval Mehta, Professor and Trainer, Department of Business and Industrial Management, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, was the Resource Person. Rev. Father Faustino Lucas Lobo, Designate Director of FMCI and Administrator of FMHMC&H presided over the programme.
The workshop commenced with a prayer song led by Dr Jessie and team, setting a peaceful and inspiring tone for the day. This was followed by a warm welcome to the delegates to the dias by Dr Justina M Steefan, convener of the workshop, acknowledging the presence of esteemed guests.
The workshop symbolically inaugurated by lighting the lamp signifying the beginning of an enlightening academic session by the dignitaries on to the dias.
Rev. Fr Faustino Lucas Lobo addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of AI in modern research and ethical conundrums in our complete dependency on AI in any field.
The formal programme was concluded by the words gratitude through a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Parvathi Rajan followed by the Institutional Anthem. Dr Vilma D\'Souza, Vice Principal was present on this occasion.
Dr Parvathi Rajan, PG Scholar compered the inaugural programme. The participants of the workshop included distinguished professionals from the various AYUSH specialties, faculty members, and enthusiastic post graduate students.

Session 1: Introduction to AI in Research - focused on AI\'s role in research, highlighting:
Session 2: Literature Management and automation - AI Websites for Hands-on Research Experience
Session 3: Data Analysis and Visualization - An overview of Apps used for Data Analysis and Visualization
There was interactive session during the break time to network and discuss AI applications in their respective fields. At the end the workshop there a feedback session for participants to share their experiences, insights, and suggestions in regard to the successful workshop.
The workshop concluded with presenting a token of gratitude, acknowledging the contributions of resource persons and participants by Principal Dr Prabhu Kiran.
The workshop was a valuable learning experience, equipping attendees with practical knowledge on AI in research. Dr. Dhaval Mehta’s expertise and the interactive format ensured a productive and engaging session. The event successfully fostered an understanding of AI-driven research methodologies, paving the way for future explorations in the field as well as inspiring young minds to overcome the fear of research and take the help of advancing technological aids to help us through the process while making it seamless. The information and guidance into this innovative domain was well received and appreciated by the participants.
