Visit to Kalbhavi Cashew Factory

IV BHMS students visited the Kalbhavi Cashew Factory, Baikampady, Mangaluru on 09.04.2025. The batch was divided into two groups. The factory engineer Mr Leonal Samuel interacted with the students and explained about the functioning of the factory, also explained about the actions they take during in emergency situations & referring the patients after initial treatment to the nearby hospitals for further treatment. Students raised queries related to personal protective equipment’s, control of dust in the factory, contact allergic dermatitis, chemical solvents used, ESI Benefits for the employees, yearly health checkup, for which the Kalbhavi Cashew industry team responded very well.
