RGUHS Mangalore Zone CricketTournament 2025-26is hosted by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College,Deralakatte on17th&21st October 2025.
The inaugural programme commenced with a melodius invocation by Miss Shreya and team. Director Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo Inaugurated the tournament on 17thOctober 2025 at Father Muller Stadium of the college. Rev. Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital welcomed the chief guest and gathering.
Chief Guest Mr Mohammad Ibrahim, Head Coach of the Indian National Blind Cricket Team, in his inaugural address, expressed his delight at officiating matches at the Fr. Muller Ground, Deralakatte, and appreciated the excellent ambience and infrastructure. He emphasized two key factors essential for achieving success — Intent and Sacrifice which encompasses consistency, dedication and punctuality. He concluded by wishing all the teams great success in the tournament.
Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, in his presidential address, inspired and motivated the students and players by quoting the famous proverb, “Work while you work, play while you play — this is the way to be cheerful and gay.” He elaborated on the deeper meaning of this saying, emphasizing that true success and happiness come from giving complete attention and dedication to whatever one does. He reminded the gathering that discipline, time management, and mindfulness are the cornerstones of a balanced and fulfilling life.
Mr Nikhil Samuel, Sports secretary, Student council proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the Institution.
The formal Inaugural function was concluded with the Institution Anthem.
Dr Jeeno Jose ,Sports Co-ordinator ,Members of sports Committee,Vice Principal Dr Vilma meera D’Souza ,Medical Superintendent Dr Girish Navada,Rev Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator, Rev Fr Rohan Dais ,Dr Satish S Principal FMCOPS ,Mr Chennakeshava M.G, Physical Education Instructor, FMHMC, Physical Education Directors of other colleges, Faculty members, Students’ Council members and students were present for the inaugural programme.
This mega event was hosted by FMHMC with logistical and manpower support. 10 teams from all over medical institutions in RGUHS Mangalore zone took part in the tournament.
The dignitaries were escorted to the stadium, to play the inaugural game, and declare the tournament open.
