The Spiritual and HRD Committee organized a Prayer Service to mark the commencement of the New Year for Undergraduate students on 05 January 2026 at 9.00 a.m. in the College Auditorium.
The prayer service began with a soulful prayer song led by Ms Reesa Joji and team, setting a reverent and prayerful tone for the gathering.
Dr E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal extended a warm welcome to the gathering. In his address he emphasized the importance of discipline and responsibility among students as they stepped into the New Year. He urged them to faithfully adhere to the guidelines and regulations of the institution, noting that such commitment fosters a conducive academic environment while contributing to personal growth and character building. He also congratulated the students, acknowledging the achievements and talents of every batch.
The welcome address was followed by a solemn introductory prayer led by Sr Rosemary and team which created a serene and reflective atmosphere.
Ms Annlit proclaimed the Scripture reading from Proverbs 3:5–6, Trust in the Lord with all your heartand lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to Him,and He will make your paths straight.”
Rev. Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator of HPD, delivered a thoughtful and inspiring reflection on the Word of God. He reminded the gathering that true success is built on faith in God, steadfast commitment and unwavering determination. He emphasized that talents and abilities are divine gifts, entrusted to each individual to be nurtured, developed and used for a higher purpose.
The Prayers of the Faithful were reverently led by students and members of the Spiritual Committee, seeking God’s blessings upon the Management, faculty, parents, wardens and the entire college community and praying for guidance and success in the year ahead.
To conclude the spiritual observances, Ms Litty Mathew and team led a meaningful Thanksgiving prayer song, filling the auditorium with a spirit of gratitude and hope. The vote of thanks was gracefully proposed by the M.C Ms Chetana P. L.The prayer service concluded at 9.50 a.m. with the rendition of the Institution Anthem, bringing the programme to a dignified and meaningful close.
