The Final Year BHMS students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Mangaluru visited St. Anthony Ashram, St. Joseph Nagar, Mangaluru on 11.02.2026. The old age home is dedicated to the care and well-being of elderly residents, and the visit was organized as part of a community outreach initiative to foster empathy and social responsibility among students.
During the visit, a health check-up camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kashyap Suvarna, Dr. Shreya N. Padiyar, and Dr. Krapashree. The students actively participated in examining the residents, identifying minor health concerns, and offering appropriate advice and reassurance. The initiative ensured attentive care and comfort to the elderly inmates.
In addition to medical support, the students organized recreational activities to uplift the residents’ spirits. Songs, games, and interactive sessions created a warm and joyful atmosphere. The elderly residents enthusiastically participated, sharing their life experiences, stories, and blessings, making the interaction both emotional and enriching.
The visit was a meaningful and memorable experience for the students, offering valuable insights into the lives of senior citizens and reinforcing the importance of compassion, service, and holistic care.
