Red Drop App Awareness programme

The Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Deralakatte, Mangalore, in association with the NSS Unit of FMHMC, organized a Red Drop App Awareness Session as part of the World Homoeopathy Week celebrations on 9th April 2026 at the FMHMC Auditorium from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

The program commenced with an Invocation by the college choir group, creating a serene and respectful atmosphere. This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Girish Navada, Medical Superintendent, who introduced the significance of World Homoeopathy Week and elaborated on the theme.

The ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp was performed by the dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spread of knowledge. Subsequently, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the esteemed resource persons by Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of the institution.

In his Presidential Address, Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta emphasized the importance of integrating traditional wisdom with modern scientific approaches and appreciated the initiative to promote blood donation awareness through digital platforms.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Archana C Ingole, Co-Coordinator of the NSS Unit, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, resource persons, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions.

The inaugural session concluded with the Institutional Anthem.

The second segment featured the Red Drop App Awareness Session, beginning with the introduction of the resource persons. The session was conducted by:

  • Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, President – ICYM Mangalore Diocese & Director – Fudar Group of Companies
  • Ms. Maria Dsilva, Secretary – ICYM Mangalore Diocese & Applied Marketing Trainer – Sierra Learning Academy

The speakers delivered an insightful session on the Red Drop App, highlighting its role in promoting voluntary blood donation through digital innovation. They emphasized the importance of timely blood donation, community participation, and the use of technology in saving lives.

An Interactive Session followed, where participants actively engaged with the speakers, clarified their queries, and shared their perspectives on blood donation awareness.

The program concluded with Closing Remarks, marking the successful completion of the session. The event was informative, engaging, and served as a meaningful initiative in spreading awareness about blood donation while aligning with the broader vision of World Homoeopathy Week.
