GENERAL MEDICAL CAMP AT ULLAL PHC

The
Department of Paediatrics, Community Medicine & NSS unit of Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte organised a general health camp at
Ullal PHC on 5th August 2021 in collaboration with District AYUSH
Unit, Ullal and Lions Club, Pumpwell. The camp was to highlight Breastfeeding
week 2021 and upcoming Mosquito Day 2021. Dr Reshel Noronha, Assistant
Professor, Department of Paediatrics was the team leader and 4 postgraduates
and 1 intern actively participated in the camp.
The
program was inaugurated at 10 am by lighting the lamp. The dignitaries were Dr
Sahana Paduranga, DMO, District AYUSH Unit, Ullal, Sri Rajesh Shetty,
President, Lions Club , Pumpwell, Dr Vidyasagar, Medical Officer, Urban Health
centre, Ullal, Dr Thara Kiran, Paediatrician, Urban Health Centre Ullal and Dr Reshel Noronha, Asst. Professor , Department
of Paediatrics, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College.
Dr
Gayathri ,MD Part I, Department of Paediatrics gave a health awareness talk on
benefits of Breastfeeding and Dr Preethish Patil, MD Part I, Department of
Medicine gave a health talk on Mosquito borne diseases during monsoon season. After
this a general medical camp was conducted. Pamphlets on information regarding
Breast feeding and Mosquito borne diseases were distributed among the public.
The
camp concluded at 12:30 pm.
