General Medical Camp at Bovikanam

A General Medical Camp was
organized by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital, in
collaboration with CODP & Catholic Sabha Bovikanam at Risen Savior Church, Bovikanam on October 1, 2023.
The program commenced with a
prayer song. Ms Renita served as the MC for the event and extended a warm
welcome to all the dignitaries .
The camp was formally inaugurated
by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais, including Rev.
Fr Stany, Parish Priest of Risen Savior Church, Bovikanam. Mr Ravi
Crasta, CODP Coordinator, Dr Jesmitha Dsouza, Team Leader and
RMO of FMHMC, Mr Victor Dsouza, Vice President, Mrs
Mariya Dsouza , Council Secretary.
Rev. Fr Stany, delivered a message emphasizing
the importance of a General Health Checkup and about Homeopathy system of
Medicine.
Dr Jesmitha Dsouza, team
leader of
the camp spoke about importance of Homeopathy system of medicine, how does it
work, Homeopathy system of case taking, Health card benefits, about new peripheral
center opened at Kumble & Bela. She also highlighted the facilities available
in Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College Hospital, Deralakatte .
Dr Mehar Varghese, a
Post graduate, spoke
in Malyalam about the benefits of Homeopathy system of Medicine and various OPD
units of FMHMC&H, Deralakatte.
The program continued with
patient registration and general health check-ups. Health card were distributed
to the patients, enabling them to access benefits from Deralakatte and
Kankanady Hospitals. Free medicines were provided to patients during the
camp for duration of one week. Follow- ups were referred to the PHC centre at
Our Lady of Dolours Shrine, Bela every 1st week of Saturdays.
The dedicated
team, led by Dr. Jesmitha Dsouza, along with three PGs and five
interns conducted the camp. A total of 118 patients benefited
from this camp
