General health check-up and screening camp at Nityadhar English Medium School

The Department of
Paediatrics and Department of Community medicine organized a General health
check-up and screening camp at Nityadhar English Medium School, Babukatte on 07.02.2024
and followup camp was held on 09.02.2024.
The program
commenced with a welcome speech and introduction by Sister Pramila Rodrigues,
Principal, Nityadhar English Medium school. Dr Jyoshna S , Professor and HOD,
Dept of Paediatrics (Team leader) , Dr Sajan K R, Professor and HOD, Dept of
Community medicine, Paediatric Post graduates and interns were involved in the
camp.
Patient registration
was done by Interns followed by a General health check-up of students from
class 5 to class 10 by the Doctors. It included general health status, Vision
check-up, Oral hygiene check, Hearing test and other relevant examinations to
determine the health status of the child.
A total of 384 on
07.02.2024 and on 09.02.2024 250 students benefited from the camp. Referrals to
higher centers were done for vision and dental ailments. Children were provided
with referral cards for other complaints to the Paediatrics OPD of Father
Muller Homeopathic Medical college Hospital, Deralakatte.
