Week-long Obesity Camp

A week-long
Obesity Camp was organized by the Medicine 1 A unit along with the Department
of Community Medicine, Department of Physiotherapy & Yoga and Department of
Naturopathy from 24.06.2024 to 29.06.2024 at Fr Muller Homoeopathic
Medical College and Hospital.
Awareness
talk on 'Causes of Obesity and Diet Measures for Obesity' was organized
on all the days of the camp from 11- 12 noon by the Post Graduates and Interns.
50%
concession on laboratory investigations including lipid profile, Thyroid
function test and USG were certain facilities of the camp
Exercise
plan from the department of Physiotherapy and massage treatment along with
steam bath and yoga therapy from the Yoga and Naturopathy department were
certain other highlights of the camp. Checking of BMI was another added
facility of the camp
All
the patients registered were given a diet plan. Charts and models were
displayed during the camp and there was an interaction with the patients and
the bystanders
A
total of 97 patients benefitted from the camp.
Post
graduate scholars and the interns actively and enthusiastically participated in
the obesity awareness camp.
