Free Medical Camp at Belma Government School, Deralakatte

A free
medical camp was organised at Belma Government School, Deralakatte on 11th
November 2024 by the Department of Paediatrics and Department of Community
Medicine on the occasion of Children’s Day.
The
camp commenced with the health talk by Dr Chrisel Dsa, PG Scholar. It was
followed by a general check-up and screening of all the children in the school.
A total of 67 children were screened. Those with illness were referred to
Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
The
common disease conditions observed were dental caries, Bronchial asthma and
malnourishment.
Dr Reshel
Noronha was the team leaders. There were 3 postgraduate students and 2 interns
present for the camp.
