International Womens Health Week Programmes

On the occasion of International Women’s day, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, OBG OPD units in collaboration with NSS unit, FMHMC and AYUSH Hospital, Ullal, organized a Free Medical camps, Health awareness talks, Health  check-ups,  and “Women’s Empowerment” role paly at different places in and around Mangalore.

Camp at Kalkatta Manjanady 28.02.2025:The camp was organised under the leadership of Dr. Anita Lobo and team.  The programme commenced with the prayer song followed by lighting of the Lamp. Dr. Anita Lobo delivered talk about Women’s health with scope of Homoeopathy in various female complaints. A total of 33 patients benefited from the camp.

Camp at Deralakatte: 03.03.2025 to 08.03.2025: Health check-up and health awareness camp was organized by the Department of OBG & OPD OBG units from Monday to Saturday 9 a.m to 4.00 p.m. Everyday morning at 11.00 a.m Health awareness talk was given by Postgraduate students on the topic, “Abnormal Uterine Bleeding and Homoeopathic Management”. Total 37 patients attended the camp and around 68 women’s attended the Health awareness talk.

 Camp at Ullal AYUSH Hospital on 06.03.2025: Health Check-up, Health awareness talk and a role play on, “Women’s Empowerment” was organized under the leadership of Dr. Vilma Meera Dsouza, HOD, Dept. of OBG, FMHMC,  Dr. Dheeraj Fernandes, NSS Coordinator , FMHMC, and in association with AYUSH, Ullal Hospital, Dr. Sahana Prabhu, on 6th March 2025, First BHMS students and the Interns of FMHMC, participated in the Role play. The event was witnessed by nearly 250 people from the hospital and surrounding areas.

The Postgraduate students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College gave awareness talk on, “Abnormal uterine bleeding and Homoeopathic Management”.  Dr Vilma Meera Dsouza, HOD, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology highlighted the importance of Health Check-up & investigations in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding. The total number of  patients benefited from this camp were 81.
