A Mega Women’s Health Camp was organized by Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Deralakatte, Mangalore in collaboration with Women's Commission and Catholic Women's Association, Southern Zone, Sri Ayyappa Swamy Temple (R.) Belma, Deralakatte and Alumni Association (R.), Hayatul Islam Madrasa, Deralakatte on Sunday, 24th August 2025 from 2:00p.m to 6.30p.m. The event aimed to provide comprehensive health services, raise awareness about women's health issues, and promote early diagnosis and prevention.
The camp began with multiple specialty consultations including: Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBG), Surgery, Medicine unit, Dermatology, Hair & Skin and Yoga and naturopathy
The gathering was welcomed by our Administrator, Rev Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, followed with the traditional lighting ceremony by the dignitaries on the dais, Rev. Fr Joseph Mascarenhas, Varado Director, Dr Vilma Meera Dsouza, Vice Principal, Professor & HOD, OBG & Camp team leader, Dr Girish Navada, Medical Superintendent, FMHMCH, Dr Sajan, K R, Professor & HOD, Department of Community Medicine & Camp Coordinator, Mrs Anitha Frank, Secretary, Women's Commission and Catholic Women's Association, Southern Zone, Mrs Lynette Castelino, Nithyadar Parish, President, Mr Jagadish Rai, President, Shri. Ayyappa Swamy Temple (R.), Belma, Deralakatte. Mr Ashraf, General Secretary, Old Students Association (R.), Hayathul Islam Madarasa, Deralakatte were present for the lighting of the lamp.
Following the lighting of the lamp Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, FMCI, delivered his valuable message and importance of health of women at house and in society. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Showhad, Social Worker, FMHMC.
After the inauguration, informative and engaging health talks were delivered by experts on the following topics:
1. Dr Deepa Pais, DMS FMHMCH, Associate Professor Dept of Pathology, delivered talk on the Facilities available at Homoeopathic Hospital – IPD, OPD, Palliative care, Speciality clinic and Laboratory in treating various diseases.
2. Dr Harshitha, Assistant Professor, Dept of FMT, presented Menstrual Disorders and scope of Homoeopathy.
3. Dr Vilma Meera Dsouza, Vice Principal, Professor & HOD, OBG, delivered talk on Infertility and Homoeopathic efficacy.
4. Dr Adlin Gonsalves, Assistant Professor, Dept of OBG, presented on Pelvic Infections, Genital Malignancies, and Breast Cancer.
5. Dr Nisha , Consultant, Yoga and naturopathy, delivered talk on Importance of Yoga and Naturopathy.

153 patients benefited from the camp
71 patients availed various diagnostic facilities, including Hb, TC, DC, ESR, Lipid Profile, RBS, TFT, Hormone tests, Urine analysis, and Pap smear
The Mega Women's Health Camp was a huge success, reflecting Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital's commitment to women's health and well-being in the community. The event not only provided treatment and diagnostic services but also imparted valuable knowledge on preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications.
