World Autism Awareness Week 2026

The Paediatrics Department and the Paediatric OPD Units of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital organized an Autism Awareness Week, with screening camp and awareness talks on Autism spectrum disorder in children from 30.03.26 to 04.04.26.

The camp was initiated to observe World Autism Awareness Day 2026 and to highlight the common Autistic signs and symptoms for early diagnosis in children below 3 years.

The daily camps were organized between 8:45 am to 4:30pm at the Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital OPD. On these days awareness talks were also delivered by Staff and Paediatric Postgraduates on Autism spectrum disorder in children and their management through Homoeopathy, along with 3 camps organized in St John's Anganwadi,  Jeppu, Kushi day care center, Kapikad and Father Muller Homoeopathic OPD, Kankanady.

A total of 67 children were screened using ASSQ (Autism spectrum screening questionnaire), and 4 were diagnosed with Autistic features.

The camp concluded on April 4st. All the Paediatric unit staff, Paediatric department and Paediatric postgraduates co-ordinated the camp well.
