Health Awareness and Free Homoeopathic Medical Camp at Sampaje

Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital and St. Francis Xaviers Church Kallugundi in collaboration with Lions Club Sampaje organised a Health Awareness and Free Homoeopathic Medical Camp on 11th April 2026 from 9.00am to 3.00pm at St. Francis Xaviers Church premises Kallugundi

The programme started with the Inauguration and Lighting of the Lamp.

The parish Priest Fr Paul Crasta highlighted the importance of health and urged everyone to take health as a priority. Rev Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta Administrator of FMHMC & H delivered a message emphasizing the importance of organising Medical camps and highlighted about efficacy of Homeopathy system of medicine.

After the Inauguration, Dr. Deepa Pais, Deputy Medical Superintendent FMHMC & H, gave a general health awareness talk and the effectiveness of Homoeopathic treatment in various disease conditions, uniqueness and effectiveness of Homeopathy system of medicine and requested the general public to derive benefit from the system of medicine.  She also highlighted the benefits of the facilities available at Deralakatte and Kankanady Hospital.

This was followed by medical checkup and treatment. The program proceeded with patient registration, general health check-ups, Haemoglobin and GRBS estimation.

There was also a facility for the optometry and free ophthalmology consultation from the ophthalmology department of Fr Muller Medical College. As a part of the camp there was free Physiotherapy consultation and awareness. Free medicines were distributed for duration of two weeks.

Patients were also prescribed patent Homoeopathic products and encouraged to make use of them. Those requiring follow-up care was referred to the OPD at Deralakatte and Kankanady OPD

The Postgraduates and the Interns assisted the camp by helping in Registration, examination and Dispensing.

There was also a HPD Counter where the public could avail certain Homoeopathic products such as Arnica hair oil, zero pain, Alfa Alfa tonic and other products

The camp was efficiently conducted by a dedicated team led by Dr Deepa Pais along with Dr Sajan K R, HOD Department of Community Medicine and Dr Sebastian P.A and Dr Ajinas, assisted by Mr. Shouhad (Medical Social Worker), 6 postgraduate students and 14 interns.

A total of 118 patients benefited from the camp.
