Training session on RGUHS- HELINET Consortium: EBSCO Medical Collection

Father Muller Central Library Committee organized a Training session on “RGUHS- HELINET Consortium: EBSCO Medical Collection” on 10th April 2025 at 3.30 pm in the Decennial Memorial Hall.
The Program began with an invocation with a prayer song. Dr John J.S. Martis, Professor of General Surgery, Chairperson of the Central Library Committee, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Person Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra, Training Manager (India East), EBSCO Information Services India Private Limited, New Delhi. Dr Antony Sylvan D Souza, DEAN – FMMC, offered a bouquet to Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra.
Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra presented a live demo and Power Point Presentation on EBSCO Medical Collection includes Physiotherapy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. Brief information was given on basic and advanced search, medical research database, full-text journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, systematic reviews and also explained how to access EBSCO e-resources through Mobile app.
The quiz was conducted by Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra, the resource person, and the winners are:
- Dr Akash M, Postgraduate student, Radiation Oncology
- Mr Mohammed Asif Raza, MSc. Medical Laboratory Technology
- Ms Arshiya Begum, MSc. Medical Imaging Technology
The program was attended by the Staff, Library Committee Members, Postgraduate Students and the Library Staff. There was a good response to the Program, over 150 Staff members and Students actively participated and interacted with the resource person.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Shubha N. Rao, Professor, General Surgery, and the Member of the Central Library Committee. The program was meticulously compered by Dr Srilakshmi M Prabhu, Associate Professor, General Medicine, and the Member of the Central Library Committee. The Program concluded with Institutional Anthem followed by Refreshments.
