Awareness on Needle Stick Injuries

The Infection Prevention and Control Committee of Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with Father Muller College of Nursing organized an awareness program on Needle Stick Injuries (NSI) for all Nursing students of the College from 10.04.2025 to 12.04.2025 between 11.30am and 12.30pm. A total of 620 students of all batches were given training focusing on the areas and common methods by which students encountered NSI in the year 2024. This training was deliberated by Mrs. Deena Andrade, IPCN. Ms Megha Kulal and Ms Preema Monis also helped in conducting a quiz at the end of each day sessions on infection prevention and control. The training was coordinated by Ms Sandra Saldanha and Ms Sonia Lobo, faculty of FMCON.
