World Cancer Awareness Week camp

World Cancer Awareness Week camp was organized by Medicine B OPD Units from 15.04.2025 to 17.04.2025 at the Out Patient Department. OPD.

The camp featured Awareness talks from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm by postgraduate scholars and intern complemented with insightful power point presentation on various types of cancers regarding prevention, detection and treatment.

The main highlights of the camp were awareness of various types of cancers, examination and treatment of cancer and treatment of side effects of chemotherapy. The camp offered 50% concession on laboratory investigations including complete blood count, ESR, CRP, urine analysis, chest x ray, ultrasound of abdomen and breast and medicines. There was no patient registration exclusively for the camp but the patients who visited the OPD benefitted from the Awareness talks delivered. The postgraduate scholars and interns demonstrated active and enthusiastic participation throughout the Awareness Week camp.
