The Spiritual Committee organized a Retreat for Christians students and Value Education Programme for Non-Christian students on 30.05.2025, from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm in the Chapel and Father Muller Auditorium respectively.
A meaningful spiritual retreat was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, offering students a precious opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with God. The retreat commenced with a warm welcome by Dr Adlin Gonsalves, Assistant Professor, Department of OBG.
Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Designate Director, FMCI & Administrator of FMHMC, introduced the esteemed resource person for the retreat — Rev Fr Abraham D’Souza, SVD and his dedicated team from Divine Call Centre, Mulki. Dr Jacintha Monteiro, Professor, Department of Organon of Medicine welcomed Rev Fr Abraham D’Souza with a floral bouquet.
Rev.Fr Abraham D’Souza guided the students on a journey of spiritual renewal, drawing them into deeper reflection on important values of life.
The retreat concluded on a note of grace and inspiration, leaving students with hearts renewed, spirits lifted and a deeper awareness of God loving presence in their lives.
The Value Education Programme commenced with a melodious prayer song by Ms Nile and team, setting a serene and reflective tone for the session. Dr Jolly D’Mello, Co-coordinator of Spiritual Committee and Associate Professor, Department of Physiology and Biochemistry welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker Dr Ashwini Colaco, Endodontist and soft skill trainer, A J institute of Dental sciences.
Dr E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal of FMHMC, addressed the gathering and assured the audience that the session would be both motivating and empowering, providing invaluable opportunities for the student community to nurture their personal growth and holistic development.
Dr Ashwini Colaco, delivered an insightful and thought-provoking session on core values, emphasizing their vital role in shaping one’s character and guiding life’s decisions.
The session was both inspiring and practical, offering valuable lessons on how to stay grounded in one’s values amidst the challenges of modern life.
This was followed by a vote of thanks by the MC & Institution Anthem. Ms Srikanya and Mr Siddhartha compeered the event gracefully. The sessions concluded at 1 pm.
