Inauguration of the Research Club

The inaugural ceremony of the Research Club was held on 23rdMay, 2025 at 3:45 p.m. in the Silver Jubilee Hall. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty and students.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Ramesh Bhat, Chief of Research, FMRC who delivered an insightful inaugural address highlighting the importance of research culture in academic institutions. The event was presided over by Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI who delivered the presidential address, emphasizing institutional support for student research initiatives.
Other distinguished guests included Prof. Cynthia Santhmayor, Principal, FMC and Dr Prashasti Poovaiah, Research Coordinator, FMC.
The programme commenced with a prayer song by Ms Anakha and Ms Kesiya, III BASLP students, followed by a warm welcome address by Mr Reuben Kunnassery, UG Student Research Coordinator.
The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the formal inauguration of the club.
The event also featured the honouring of Student Research Coordinators with badges and recognition of students for the Best Clinical Conference and Journal ClubPresentations.Additionally, two faculty members were presented with Awards of Appreciation in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Lesha Lasrado, UG Student Research Coordinator and the Institutional Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and motivated to engage in meaningful research activities.
