The programme commenced at 9:45 AM with a prayer song, followed by a formal inauguration through the lighting of the lamp. Dr. Mini I. V., Coordinator of the PTSA Committee, welcomed the gathering.
The main objective of this "STEP UP" PTSA programme was to facilitate an interaction between parents, students, and teachers to assess the academic progress and personal development of the students.
UG Programme Coordinator Dr. Amitha P Baliga presented a brief report on the academic and co-curricular activities, including the achievements of students in university and internal examinations.
Principal Dr. E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran highlighted the importance of discipline and the overall development of students. He also emphasized the significance of research, outlining the facilities and funds provided by the institution to support student-led research. He appealed to parents to motivate their wards to participate in research activities for their personal growth and the betterment of the institution. Additionally, he informed the gathering about the institute’s plan to initiate a scholarship programme to support academically strong students from economically weaker sections, based on specific criteria.
Dr. Vilma M. Dsouza, Vice Principal, moderated an interactive session between parents and the management. The parents appreciated the institution's efforts in the fields of education, administration, and student success. One of the parents also suggested starting a PTA fund to further support the institution's development.
Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Assistant Administrator of Father Muller Medical College and Hospital, Kankanady appreciated the parents for their presence and commended the staff for their dedicated service in nurturing students into responsible professionals and compassionate individuals.
Dr. Anusha G. Sanil, Chief Mentor of IV BHMS, proposed the vote of thanks.
The formal inaugural programme concluded with the Institution Anthem. This was followed by departmental interactions.
A total of 40 students from II BHMS Sr and 37 students from IV BHMS Sr, along with their parents, attended the programme.
