Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay took a significant leap towards digital advancement by organizing a workshop on "Unlock the Power of Artificial Intelligence for Professional and Academic Excellence" on July 31, 2025. Held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the session was designed exclusively for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution, reflecting a forward-thinking approach to education and healthcare.

The workshop was led by Mr. Leo Victor Zalki, a distinguished Oracle and Google Certified AI Mentor, who captivated the audience with his insightful and practical approach to the integration of AI in everyday academic and institutional settings. With clarity and conviction, Mr. Zalki emphasized, "Artificial Intelligence won't take your job—but someone who understands AI definitely will." He urged educators to embrace the technological shift, adding that upgrading with AI is essential to stay relevant in today's fast-evolving world.

Participants were guided through practical demonstrations, exploring how AI tools can be seamlessly embedded into teaching methodologies, documentation processes, research activities, and institutional operations. The interactive nature of the session sparked enthusiasm and opened minds to the immense possibilities of responsible AI usage in education.

The workshop was graced by Rev. Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator of Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay, and Dr. Reena Wilma Frank, Principal, who both recognized the critical importance of such initiatives in keeping pace with global academic and healthcare trends.

Rev. Fr Lobo commended Mr. Zalki’s expertise and engaging delivery, stating that such transformative sessions are vital for future-ready institutions. Thirteen faculty and staff members actively took part in the workshop, showcasing their collective commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. The event also saw efficient coordination by Ms. Princita Saldanha, Assistant Lecturer, who served as the Master of Ceremonies, ensuring the smooth conduct of the program.
