The AHS Research committee organized the AHS research club  inaugural program on 24th September 2025 at the Decennial Memorial  Hall, Knowledge Centre, FMCI Campus. The AHS research Co-ordinators, Dr Rashmi  M and Dr Sherin Justin along with the members of the AHS Research committee  organized this program. The program was presided by Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo,  Director, FMCI. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr Asha Patil, Associate  Professor, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Manipal College of  Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal. She is with over 20 Publications in National  and International Journals and also with 4 registered copyrights in her name  and one patent holder. The program began with a prayer song from the students  of the Allied Health Sciences Choir. 
Dr Hilda D’Souza, Principal, Father Muller College of Allied  Health Sciences and Chairperson of the Research Committee delivered the Welcome  Address. The dignitaries on the dias: Director FMCI, Chief Guest, Administrator  Rev Dr Michael Santhumayor, Dr Ramesh Bhat, Head of Father Muller Research  Centre and the Principal were given a floral welcome from the Research  Committee members. 
This was followed by the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony by  the dignitaries along with student representatives. A surprise video was played  prepared by the Research Club members led by Mr Austin (2nd year  BHA) and team signifying the importance of having a student Research Club in  the Institution. The unveiling of the AHS Research Club Logo was performed in a  unique way by students of BHA preparing a handmade 3D Model of the Logo and  explaining the importance of each of the element in the Logo. This Logo was  designed by Sr Juliya Joy, 3rd year MIT student during a Logo  designing competition held by the Research committee. 
The program continued with research club investiture  ceremony wherein the first office bearers’ names were announced by Dr Ramesh  Bhat, Head of Father Muller Research Centre and the Oath of the office was  given to Ms Hana Jafar, President and Ms Flenisha Coelho, Secretary of the  Research Club. The Badges were handed over by the Chief Guest Dr Asha Patil and  the office file was handed by the Administrator Rev Dr Michael Santhumayor to  the newly appointed office bearers. 
The chief guest in her Key note address shared her valuable  insights on the various trends in the field of Research and its significance in  the stream of the Allied Health Professionals. The chief Guest was felicitated  by the Director with a token of love and gratitude. The program then proceeded  with prize distribution ceremony which included prizes for the competitions  held by Research committee such as Logo designing, Collage competition and Student  Research Concept paper presentation, from Media Committee video making  competition, from Welfare committee Reels making competition and from Magazine  committee the magazine designing competition. The guides of the student  research concept paper presentation finalists were also appreciated during the  program. A Special token of appreciation was handed over to all the research  committee members in the same program. The presidential address was delivered  by Father Director with a key message mentioning that Research is nothing but  searching deeper and deeper with thirst for gaining more knowledge and all AHS  students to make the best use of this Research club in the upcoming future. Dr  Sherin Justin, Research Coordinator thanked each and every one behind the  efforts of framing this AHS Research Club and all those in conducting the  program with a success note. The emcees for the program were the AHS students,  Ms Jeffy, 2nd year MLT and Mr Bevan, 2nd year BHA. The  program ended with Institutional Anthem followed by group photo session. High  Tea was served to all the attendees of the program. The program ended with  great appreciations and applauds to the organizing team.
