Prevention of malaria and dengue : School Health Programme

The Department of Child Health Nursing, FMCON, along with the III Year BSc Nursing students, organized a school health programme on the topic “prevention of malaria and dengue at Raymond’s English Medium school, Vamanjoor on August 25, 2025. The program included an interactive video-based session with activities involving the students of the school.  The session covered key topics such as the difference between malaria and dengue, their causes, signs and symptoms and various preventive measures. The education was supplemented with a role play, power point, and demonstration by the students. The session concluded with a quiz and distribution of prizes to the winners. The program was guided by Mrs. Godfrey Selma Lewis, Associate professor and Ms. Rosemary C.J, Asst. professor, faculty of Child Health Nursing Department. The students were also involved in some fun games and action songs at the end of the session and the winners were applauded with small gifts. The beneficiaries of the programme were 147 students.
