General Health Check-up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp at Holy Spirit Church, Mukka

A one-day General Health Check-up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp was conducted on 7th December 2025 at Holy Spirit Church, Mukka, by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with the Catholic Sabha – Mukka Association, Holy Spirit Church Health Commission, and the Indian Cancer Society. The camp involved multiple departments, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, OBG, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Speech and Hearing. Free services such as Pap smear testing, breast and oral examinations, ECG, GRBS screening, and distribution of medicines were offered to the beneficiaries. The camp was coordinated by Mrs Deepika N. C, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, FMCON. Two III-year GNM students contributed actively by assisting in the distribution of free medicines. A total of 149 beneficiaries availed of the services. The camp successfully promoted health awareness and cancer screening, highlighting the importance of early detection and preventive care.
